Terms of service
Last updated 23 Oct 2026
These terms apply when you create a Tripfam account or use the service. They are written to be read, not to be skipped.
Who you are agreeing with
Tripfam is a small project run by Anton Stasyuk, an individual. There is no registered company behind it yet, so one person, not a business, is responsible for your data and answers your requests. If a company is formed later, it takes over this service and these commitments, and we will tell you by email before that happens.
Tripfam is in early access. It works, it is used, and it is still being built. Expect features to appear, change and occasionally break.
Who can use Tripfam
You need to be 16 or older to create an account.
Your account
- Give accurate details, and keep them current.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us at once if you think someone else has access.
- One account per person.
What it costs
Nothing. Tripfam is free while it is in early access, and we are not taking payments at all right now.
Paid plans may come one day. If that happens, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email, tell you exactly what changes, and never charge you without you actively choosing to pay.
Your trips and what you add
What you add stays yours. Uploading a file or writing a plan does not give us ownership of it.
You give us permission to store what you add and show it to the members of the trip you added it to. That permission exists only so the service can work.
A trip is shared. Plans, expenses and files you add become part of the group’s record and stay with the trip if you leave it or delete your account, so the others do not lose their plans or their balances.
You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload, and that the people whose details appear in it would be fine with the group seeing them.
Trips and members
The person who creates a trip owns it. The owner can edit it, invite and remove members, and delete the trip with everything in it.
Anyone with a valid invite link can join, so share links only with people you want in the trip.
Expenses and balances are a record kept between friends. Tripfam does not move money, and exchange rates are the ones you enter. Settling up is between you.
Flight and place information
Flight details, places, maps and place descriptions come from outside sources. They can be wrong or out of date. Always check times with your airline or booking before you travel.
- Flight schedules: AeroDataBox.
- Maps: OpenFreeMap, with map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License.
- Place search: Photon by komoot and OpenStreetMap Nominatim.
- Place descriptions: Wikipedia, under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike licence.
What you must not do
- Impersonate another person, or add someone to a trip who has not agreed to it.
- Upload anything illegal, or other people’s documents without their permission.
- Harass, threaten or abuse anyone through the service.
- Scrape or bulk-download the service, or resell anything from it.
- Attack the service, probe it for weaknesses without asking us first, or try to reach data that is not yours.
Found a security problem? Email us instead of exploiting it. We will thank you properly.
Availability and changes
We do not promise uptime, and there is no support desk with hours. We fix things as fast as one person reasonably can.
We may add, change or remove features. If we ever have to shut Tripfam down, we will give at least 30 days' notice by email so you can save what you need.
Ending it
You can leave any trip from its members page, and delete your account by emailing [email protected]. No questions, no retention offer.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that is being used to harm someone. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why first and give you a chance to fix it.
Liability
Tripfam is provided as it is. We are not a travel agent, we do not sell or change bookings, and we are not responsible for a missed flight, a wrong time or a disagreement about who owes what.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost bookings, lost money or lost data. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing takes away the rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country you live in.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law, where the operator lives, and the courts of Spain have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not remove the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, and you can still bring a claim in your local courts.
Changes to these terms
We will post any new version here with a new date. For a change that materially affects you, we will email you before it takes effect. Continuing to use Tripfam after that means you accept the new version. If you do not, ask us to delete your account.
